Construction Products Directive – CPD

In order to obtain the CE marking, all Construction products must go through an Attestation of Conformity (AoC) procedure, which may involve none, one or several Notified Bodies.

The CPD provides for different basic systems of AoC, which involve the manufacturer and Notified Bodies (product certification, FPC certification, FPC inspection and test laboratories) in different ways.

All systems require that the manufacturer operates an FPC system and that Initial Type Testing is performed. The only difference between the systems is whether or not a Notified Body is involved in testing, FPC or product certification.
